STEP 1: Open a Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox and go to

STEP 2: At the Cloud@DVC login screen, enter your Diamond Valley College Username and Password

STEP 3: Once logged in, click you profile logo (circle in top right corner with a letter) and select Settings

STEP 4: Select External Storages from the left hand menu

STEP 5: Input your DVC Username and Password in the Global Credentials Area and click Save

STEP 6: Within the Folder Name Field, type an appropriate name such as IT Web Dev. Set External Storage type to CIFS / SMB. Set Authentication to Global Credentials. Under Configuration, input the following:


                Share: infotech

                Remote Subfolder: itwebdev\user_name (your DVC Username e.g abb0001)


STEP 7: Click the Tick icon after all information has been typed in. If all worked, you should see a green tick next to the Folder Name.

Optional: If you would like to enable sharing of your network home data, click the 3 dots to the left of the tick and ensure a tick is in the Enable Sharing Check Box.

STEP 8: Click the DVC Logo in the top left hand corner to return to your Cloud Storage Directory

STEP 9: You should now have a new folder in your Cloud Storage directory labeled IT Web Dev. The icon will be slightly different to indicate an external storage folder.

STEP 10: That’s it. You have successfully added your IT Web Dev and made it accessible via Cloud@DVC. To test if your data is accessible, simply click on the folder to view its content.
